“Change does not come rolling on the wheels of inevitability, but comes through constant struggle.”

With the desire to make transgenders also come into the mainstream and make a good identity in society, Urooz Hussain is taking the path of entrepreneurship and motivating other people in her community as well.

If we talk about the point of view, then at first glance people see Transgender only as a eunuch, beggar clapping, or sex workers. But the reality is quite different from this. Today Transgender is also present in prestigious positions in society. One such example is Transgender Woman Urooz Hussain, an entrepreneur, social worker as well as co-founder of 'Love Noida'.

Urooz Hussain was fed up with the abuse and harassment at the workplace. That's why she left her job and started her own business. She hopes to inspire others in her community as well.

Breaking stereotypes, 27-year-old Urooz Hussain is running a restaurant named “Street Temptation” in Sector 119, Noida on her own. She is an inspiration to the people of her society. This restaurant of Urooz Hussain has become a center of attraction among the people. Here people come from far and wide to taste the delicious dishes.

Urooz Hussain comes from a small town in Bihar. She too was born like a normal child. Slowly she started to realize that their body is just like boys, but their feeling is like girls. Because of this, she had to face a lot of problems in the family and society. Her family, and friends all wanted her to behave like a boy. She also tried hard to do so, but could not.

In the 10th standard, she started questioning herself. The boys in the class used to make fun of her and harass her but she did not give up, did her graduated, and then also completed the hotel management course. In 2013 she came to Delhi. For 22 years she lived in the form of a boy.

Worked as a male employee at the workplace. During her internship, she was badly treated at the workplace. People used to try to touch her inappropriately. Distressed, she started keeping herself away from people. After this, she gathered courage and thought that she should not lose her courage.

In the year 2014, Urooz started undergoing laser therapy treatment after undergoing a psychometric test to change herself. During this, she remained locked in the house and felt lonely. Many times there were thoughts of committing suicide, but today he is happy with her physical structure.

Between 2014 and 2015, she had a hormone transformational period. After this, from 2015 to 2017, she worked at Lalit Hotel in Delhi. There she worked as a female employee. Since Lalit Group supports the LGBT community, they did not face any kind of trouble or harassment there.

Since Urooz Hussain had done a hospitality management course, it was during her internship that she decided to do something of her own. On 22 November 2019, she started a restaurant in Noida. Her motive behind starting the restaurant was that it would inspire all Transgenders to do something on their own and make themselves stronger.

Being a transwoman, Urooz faced a lot of trouble to start the restaurant. At first, she faced many difficulties in getting to the shop. No shop was ready to give her. Then one of her friends Ajay Verma helped her, and today he is also her business partner. Uruj's troubles did not end there. The lockdown took place only after 4 months after starting the restaurant. She reopened the restaurant in July. At present, online orders of Rs 4 to 5 thousand are received daily. She is constantly working hard to expand this restaurant.

Urooz wants to open restaurants in every city. Right now a team of seven people works in her restaurant. There are 2 chefs working there.

Urooz also has a complaint with Bollywood. In Bollywood movies, transgenders are shown either as a joke or as sex symbols. That's why society also looks at transgenders only from the point of view of fun or sex. Urooz wants that transgenders should be shown in meaningful roles in Bollywood so that society can get to know about the real transgenders.
