Difficulties are not weaknesses, but they help to bring out hidden strengths and powers. Let difficulties know that you are more difficult than them.

The struggle is the ladder of change, so don't stop fearing it. If an earthen pot is not cooked or it is not fully heated, can water stay in it? Then how can success be achieved easily? Even if you get it easily, then your strength is tested.

There is an age of dreams and intentions, isn't it? The age increases every year. Now at what stage of age you are ready for the challenges, it is up to you to decide.

At the age of 87, Usha Gupta lived perhaps the most difficult phase of her life and when she emerged, she set an example.

According to media reports, in the month of July 2021, Usha Gupta started making pickles and chutney at home. Which she is selling to people across the country through social media.

Usha Gupta's husband had served as a government engineer for the UP government. Presently they have three daughters, who are doctors and live in Delhi.

When Usha Gupta and her husband got corona

When the second wave of Covid came in 2021, Usha Gupta and her husband came under the grip of this epidemic. Both the elderly couple were hospitalized for about a month.

After a 27-day battle with Corona, her husband left her forever. The company of 60 decades was lost in a moment.

Strange is the game of nature Usha Gupta won the battle against Corona but lost her life partner.

Talking to a channel, she says, “Life had become sad after the death of her husband. Now there was nothing left to do for me. When I was admitted to the hospital, I saw people battling with Covid. Some were yearning for oxygen and some for treatment. Corona had destroyed the lives of many people. I felt that now my future life should be spent helping such needy people. With this thought, I moved ahead and never lost courage again.

Usha Gupta had seen in the hospital how the pandemic was affecting families who were not financially strong. The suffering she saw in the hospital gave a new meaning to her life. That's what Disha got and she decided to help the needy by making delicious homemade pickles.

How did you come up with the idea of making pickles?

Usha Gupta had heard the stories of people's helplessness due to Corona, she wanted to help the helpless and needy. She asked her children to donate their savings money but her children refused to accept the money.

It was her family who did not suppress her desire but encouraged to make pickles to raise funds to help the needy.

Usha's granddaughter Dr. Radhika Batra runs an NGO to help the poor. She talked to them and when she told her wish, then her granddaughter gave the idea that she makes very good pickles, so why not market it.

This idea also impressed Usha Gupta and Nani ji got involved in making pickles and chutneys.

However, it was not easy to do such hard work at this age. But, with the support of her loved ones and the encouragement of her daughters, she got engrossed in her work with full enthusiasm and enthusiasm.

She named her business Pickle With Love. After bringing and making every necessary material for marketing and making pickles, the work of packaging is handled by their granddaughters and daughters.

Received more than 200 orders within a month

Within a month of starting making pickles, she had sold more than 200 bottles of pickles. It was the taste of the pickles made by her that her orders kept increasing and no customer was broken.

Initially, relatives and friends were made their customers, and gradually orders started coming on social media (Instagram) as well.

And according to her wish, she donated the earnings from this to the Covid patients and other needy people.

Provided food to 65 thousand poor so far

According to a media report, Usha Gupta has so far fed about 65 thousand poor people with the savings from the sale of pickles.

According to Usha Gupta, apart from this, they are still trying to identify such people in many states of the country, who need help, and who are fighting hunger. Some external organizations also help them in this work.

Work done by taking medicine

The age of 87-88 years is long. In today's food and polluted environment, many do not even reach this age. Above all, no one wants to work hard with the body. All the work has to be done while sitting in the air of a cooler, fan, and AC. Somewhere mechanization has made humans lazy. Because the truth is that only a nutritious diet and an active body last long, otherwise everyone has an expiry date.

But the courage of the grandmother should be appreciated, who has now taken a vow to help the needy till the end of her life.

Many times Usha Gupta gets very tired while working. Due to pain in the body, even when she dares to answer, she continues to work.

According to a report, many times she has also worked by taking pain medicine. This is because she believes that all this is not just a business. The hopes of many people are attached to this. And if good is being done by their efforts then what can be better than this.

This is the reason that as long as there is life in the body, grandmother will continue to help needy people.

On the Path of women empowerment

Usha Gupta understands the value of money, for her even the smallest amount is important. It is said that a pot gets filled drop by drop, in the same way, small successes become big.

Usha Gupta is happy that she has been able to make a difference even in a small way. A bottle of 200 grams of pickle or chutney prepared by her costs Rs.150.

Now Usha Gupta wants to empower underprivileged women and train them to start their own small businesses. According to a media report, she is ready to train willing and needy women and teach them the art of cooking to earn a living.

Remembering her husband, Usha Gupta says that "he always used to say that whatever you do, do it with full heart and passion."

“May happiness and success go hand in hand” is also the message Nani sends to her customers.

Usha Gupta has also written a book named 'Indian Vegetarian Cuisine'. Which they often send with orders.

Heartfelt greetings to Usha Ji and her courage. You set new milestones. We wish you a healthy life.
