Early Life
Radhika's father was an officer in the Indian Army and her mother was a dietician. Due to her father being in the army, she had to be transferred from time to time.
Due to the transfer from one place to another, Radhika studied in about 10 schools in India. And every time she got a chance to understand new people, cultures,s, and behavior. Being a sociable personality, she blends in quickly and makes new friends. She soon learned basic life skills and social skills.
Her social skills and talent for making new friends soon shaped her personality.
Radhika's father turned towards Entrepreneur after completing her army job. With her father coming into the business, she also started understanding things related to entrepreneurship at a young age.
Radhika did post graduation in Advertising and Public Relations.
Went to America in the year 1999 to do MBA. There she earned his MBA degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
Career before Shopclues
Radhika ran her own advertising agency between the years 1997 and 1999.
She joined the financial firm Goldman Sachs in the year 2000. In the year 2002, she joined Nordstrom. Nordstrom, like Walmart, is a well-known department store chain in the United States.
She got to learn a lot at Nordstrom. There she not only understood the strategic plans but also learned how the Inverted Pyramid structure is actually practiced in an organization.
At Nordstrom, the customer is at the top of the inverted pyramid and the CEO is at the bottom.
Radhika worked at Nordstrom till 2006. In the year 2006, she started a website called Fashion Clues, in which she targeted South Asia and America. She alone handled this company.
Shopclues Careers
Learning from Nordstrom and learning from Fashion Clues, Radhika founded ShopClues in 2011 with her husband Sandeep Agarwal, and a team of 10 members. Presently its headquarter is in Gurugram (Gurgaon).
According to Radhika, the mindset of the customers in India is quite different, which is a very challenging task in itself.
They believe that the customer experience is important, especially when things go wrong.
Their company is customer centric and as part of their buyer protection policy, they provide easy return facilities to the customers, which increases the confidence of the customers.
Radhika Ji considers Shopclues as her third child and works with full dedication and passion.
She gathers all the women on the staff on International Women's Day and gives them an opportunity to share their views and opinions about their problems and challenges.
Along with the success of the business, in the year 2016, Radhika was included in the Unicorn Club. This is a big achievement for her and she is the first Indian woman to join the unicorn club.
In 2016 itself, Radhika was also honored with the Outlook Business Woman of Worth Award at the Outlook Business Awards. Apart from this, she was also honored at Entrepreneur India Awards and CMO Asia Awards.
At the same time, she keeps a balance in her personal and professional life.
When sent soft toys and chocolates instead of flowers
The first and biggest challenge came at their ShopClues when they needed 200 bouquets of flowers for Valentine's Day. But instead of supplying the bouquets to her, her vendor sold all the flowers himself.
In such a situation, how to supply flowers? This was the main question in front, to solve this problem, instead of flowers, they sent soft toys and chocolates to the customers. Also apologized to the customers.
Here, while showing her understanding and patience, she understood the seriousness of the matter and tried to reduce it instead of entangling it.

Radhika married Sandeep Agarwal, whom she had met during her college days.
