Positivity and patience are the weapons to convert thoughts into reality. Whenever you start a business, you probably have to go through the criteria of its success and failure ratio. For which the key to success is to keep moving forward with restraint.

Launch of Farmizen
Gitanjali says that the vegetables we eat also contain pesticides. Which are fatal for our bodies. Due to the movement in the mind of all these things, the formation idea started.
A farmer lived near her house. Decided to grow vegetables by taking some land on rent from them. She does not use pesticides on crops. Her two friends Shamik Chakraborty and Sudhakaran Balasubramanian helped her. Later some other people also cooperated with this work. She found that 600 square feet could grow enough vegetables for a family.
Shamik and Sudhakaran are from IT. They have made a special app. The first app was launched in June 2017. After which Farmizen is working on 47 acres in Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Surat. She also received funding up to 34.50 lakhs in September 2017. Angel investor also includes Neeraj Arora, a member of the core team of WhatsApp.

Convincing farmers and customers is a big challenge
Gitanjali initially met Narayana Reddy, an experienced farmer whose farm was being ruined by the use of fertilizers and pesticides. She agreed to work with him. At the same time, it was explained to the customers that the cabbage found in the market is bleached and made white. which is harmful. You eat organic vegetables that have insects in them. If organic cabbage is safe for bugs, it's safe for you, too. you can eat it After such efforts, customers started connecting.

Equal partnership with farmers
Gitanjali partners with the farmers on an equal footing and gets them to do organic farming. She divides the farmer's field into 600-600 square feet size and rents it to the customers at the rate of Rs.2500 per month. Customers get the vegetables of their choice planted in the selected plot through the mobile app. When the vegetables are ready, the Farmizen vehicle service delivers the vegetables to the customers' homes. Also, the customer and her family can visit and work on her mini farm at any time.
Farmizen gives freedom to the farmers to work independently. And also provides them with agricultural production inputs like seeds, plants, organic fertilizers, neem oil for spraying, castor oil, etc. Apart from this, Farmizen also takes care of managing the app, increasing the number of customers, and home delivery of the product to their homes.
Farmizen now also produces organic and natural produce (fruits, vegetables, and staples) through its farmer network. and sell and home deliver them through a catalog-based ordering system built into the app.
Along with this, complete transparency has been taken care of with the customers, that is, they know from which farmer the products ordered by them are coming and what is the GPS location of their farm. Customers can also visit the farm if they wish.
Due to this both the customers and the farmers are getting benefits. Customers are getting 100% organic vegetables sitting at home. And the income of the farmers has increased three times. In 2019, Farmizen also started the delivery of organic fruits. Due to this, the number of customers has crossed the figure of 16,000.
Her annual turnover in 2019 was Rs 8.40 crore. Which has now become 20 crores.
Now Gitanjali aims to expand to 100,000 families with an annual turnover of Rs 300 crore.
