Vineeta Singh is a renowned female entrepreneur. She has appeared in both Shark Tank India Season 1 and 2. She further added to her fame as a shark in SonyLiv's Shark Tank India.

She is the co-founder of Sugar Cosmetics, a cosmetics line. Today, the popularity of Vineeta Singh and her company is continuously increasing. Before Sugar Cosmetics, she had tried her hand at two businesses, which were not successful.

Had also rejected a 1 crore package job offer to start her entrepreneurial journey.

In the year 2019, Vineeta Singh was awarded the Entrepreneur Award for Startup of the Year.

Early Life

Vinita Singh was born in 1983 in Anand, Gujarat. Her mother is a Ph.D. holder and her father Tej P. Singh is a biophysicist at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).

Vineeta Singh completed her schooling at Delhi Public School, RK Puram.

She had an entrepreneurial mindset since childhood. In childhood, she and a friend of hers created a magazine together. Which she used to sell from door to door for Rs 3. However, her idea could not bear fruit because at that time paying Rs 3 for a children's magazine was a big deal.

In the year 2001, she was admitted to the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. From there graduated in B.Tech, Electrical Engineering.

In May 2004, she interned at ITC Limited, Kolkata for three months.

In the year 2007, she received an MBA degree from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. While pursuing her MBA, in 2006, she interned for three months at Deutsche Bank in London, New York.

During her internship, she conducted projects with the Emerging Markets Structures team in London and the Strategic Equity Transactions group in New York.

Vineeta Singh was so eager to set up her own enterprise that she even rejected the Rs 1 crore package job of that company.

She was introduced to Kaushik Mukherjee in her MBA. In the year 2011, both of them got married. They have two sons.

Start of Sugar Cosmetics

In 2007, Vinita Singh founded her first startup Quetzal. That was to provide background verification checks to employers. But her idea did not last long and failed.

In the year 2012, she started her second startup Fab Bag. It was a subscription-based platform through which beauty products were delivered every month.

That too is not much. Then in the year 2015, Vineeta Singh along with her husband Kaushik Mukherjee founded her third start-up Sugar Cosmetics.

Today sugar is popular in cosmetic beauty products and personal care products. Their products are catered to the primary needs of women with diverse skin tones. It is a D2C makeup brand.

Sugar Cosmetics' network is more than Rs 300 crore. It has more than 2500 branded outlets in more than 130 cities.

According to a report, Sugar Cosmetics plans to add more than 60,000 retailer outlets in 2023.

Net Worth 2023

According to a report, Vineeta Singh earns Rs 7 to 8 crores per month. Her annual income is around Rs 100 crore. Her total wealth is Rs 660 crore.

She has a Mercedes Benz 350-D, which is worth Rs 80 lakh. Her second car is a Skoda Octavia, which costs Rs 28 lakh.

The reality show Shark Tank India which airs on SonyLiv is very popular. Its aim is to help new startups.

Vineeta Singh is one of the lead sharks (investors/judges) of the business reality show Shark Tank India. Their goal is to inspire entrepreneurship in general and support women entrepreneurs.

In the year 2022, she appeared as a VIP contestant in the Indian version of Kaun Banega Crorepati along with other sharks. She also appeared as a guest on The Kapil Sharma Show with other sharks in the same year.

Vinita Singh is a triathlete and ultramarathon runner and has participated in 20 marathons, ultramarathons, and 12 half-marathons.

She also participated in the 89-kilometer Comrades Marathon from 2012 to 2014.

She completed the 2017 Ironman Triathlon in Austria.

At the 2018 Mumbai Marathon, she ran a total of 21 km in 2:42:51 seconds while being 6 months pregnant.
