Birth, Education and Early life of Smriti Irani
Smriti Irani was born on 23 March 1976 in Delhi, the capital of India.
Her father's name is Mr. Ajay Kumar Malhotra and her mother's name is Mrs. Shivani Bagichi.
Smriti Irani studied while living in the capital Delhi. Smriti Irani started working just after passing the 10th examination.
Smriti Irani studied her 12th class at Holy Child Ausquillium School in Delhi.
Smriti Irani participated in the Miss India contest in 1998, but she could not win. After this, she went to the city of films, Mumbai, where she tried her luck.
Smriti Irani's acting Debut
Smriti Irani started her life as a model. She reached the finals of the Femina Miss India beauty pageant in 1998 but could not become Miss India.
Smriti Irani started her career in the year 2000 with the television serial 'Hum Kal Aaj Kal Aur Kal'. But she got famous and recognized as a TV actress when she played the character named Tulsi in the serial 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi'.
Smriti Irani has been honored with many awards for her acting skills as a TV actress. She has won the Indian Television Academy Award, the Indian Telly Award, and the Star Parivar Award.
In the year 2001, she also played the role of Mother Sita in the Ramayana broadcast on Zee TV. In the year 2006, she worked as a co-director in the serial 'Thod si Zameen aur Thoda sa Aasmaan'. In the year 2008, she hosted the dance-based TV serial 'Yeh Hai Jalwa' with Sakshi Tanwar.

Political life of Smriti Irani
As we read Smriti Irani started her career as an actress.
But leaving aside her acting skills, Smriti Irani started her political career in 2003 by joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). She contested the elections from Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha constituency of Delhi. However, she lost to Indian National Congress candidate and former Union Minister Kapil Sibal.
In the year 2004, she was made the Vice President of Maharashtra Wing. She was nominated by the party five times as 3rd executive member of the Central Committee and appointed as the National Secretary.
In the year 2010, she was given the command of BJP Mahila Morcha. In the year 2011, she was elected Rajya Sabha MP from Gujarat. In the same year, took command of Mahila Morcha in Himachal Pradesh.
In the year 2014, she contested against Rahul Gandhi from the Amethi Lok Sabha seat, but she had to face defeat in this too. Despite this, she continued to go among the people and defeated the then Congress President Rahul Gandhi from the Amethi seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
Along with this, Smriti Irani was elected as a Rajya Sabha member from Gujarat in the years 2011 and 2017.

Smriti Irani's journey as Union Minister
Smriti Irani served as the Union Minister of Human Resource Development, now the Ministry of Education, from May 2014 to July 2016. Subsequently, she held the charge of Minister of Information and Broadcasting from July 2017 to May 2018. Along with this, he worked as a Textile Minister from July 2016 to July 2021.
Currently, Smriti Irani is included in the Union Cabinet. She is the Union Minister of Women and Child Development and Minority Affairs.

Smriti Irani's personal life
Smriti Irani married Zubin Irani in the year 2001 who is a Parsi. They have two children – Zohar Irani, and Zoish Irani. In 2001, they had a son, whose name is 'Johar'. Smriti Irani and Zubin Irani have a daughter named Zoish. Smriti Irani's husband Zubin Irani also has a daughter Sheniel from his ex-wife Mona Irani, whose care Smriti Irani is taking care of well as a mother.
